MacroForge ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Kologboh LLC, a limited liability company based in the United States. For any privacy-related questions, you can reach us at kologboh11@outlook.com.
We collect only what's necessary to provide the MacroForge experience. The categories of information are:
When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password in plain text.
Information you choose to enter, including your weight, goal weight, activity level, training phase (bulking, cutting, maintaining), and calculated macronutrient targets.
Meals, calories, macros, supplements, water intake, workouts, and other entries you log in the App.
When you use the AI Food Scan feature, photos of your meals are sent securely to OpenAI for nutritional analysis. We do not retain copies of your meal photos on our servers after the analysis is complete.
When you scan a product barcode, the barcode number is sent to the OpenFoodFacts public database to retrieve nutritional information. We do not store the barcode after the lookup.
Messages you send to the Macro Coach are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not store your coaching conversations on our servers.
If you subscribe to MacroForge, your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Billing), depending on the device you use. We never see or store your credit card details. We receive only limited information such as your subscription status, plan tier, and renewal date.
If you enable reminders, we store a notification token for your device so we can deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in the App or in your device settings.
Standard technical details such as device type, operating system version, and app version are included with requests to our servers. We do not run our own crash-reporting or analytics software. If the App crashes, Apple and Google may make anonymized crash reports available to us through the App Store and Google Play — that data is collected by them, not by us, and it does not identify you.
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with the following service providers strictly to operate the App:
Each of these providers has their own privacy practices. We choose partners that maintain industry-standard security and data protection.
MacroForge requests access to your device's camera and photo library only when you use the barcode scan or AI food scan features. Photos and barcode scans are processed for the sole purpose of identifying food items and their nutritional content. We do not access your camera or photo library at any other time, and we do not browse, store, or share your other photos.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days.
You can delete your MacroForge account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
If you no longer have the app installed, email kologboh11@outlook.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 7 business days.
Your account credentials, profile, goals and macro targets, food logs, workout history, supplement and water entries, and notification preferences are permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, and purged from backups within 90 days.
We may retain a minimal record of transactions where required for tax, accounting, or legal obligations. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are managed by Apple and Google — deleting your MacroForge account does not automatically cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings to stop future billing.

MacroForge is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted password storage, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe and respond quickly to any incidents.
MacroForge is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email. Continued use of MacroForge after a change means you accept the updated policy.
